Since 1948, it has been finished with a traditional, hand-pressed cattleman crease, and has been worn by modern pioneers and trailblazers ever since, from artists and outlaws to Presidents (including, most notably, LBJ, who was rarely photographed on his Texas ranch without his Open Road).
