TMS  Fractured Face Hand Gesture aka The "Hush", or "Silence" Sculpture on Black Cube Base

Description:  This fragmented face with an index finger to the lips gestures the accepted hand signal for "be quiet", "Hush", "Shush", "Silence", etc.   It is very similar to the 1991 John Cutrone piece entitled "Silence Whisper", and the same theme as the 80-foot "Water's Soul" sculpture in New Jersey by artist Jaume Plensa.  It was pointed out to me that whether intentional, by accident, or someone's active imagination, the back side cavity of the face is reminiscent of the human heart with the "Superior Vena Cava" rising to the left and the "Pulmonary Artery" branching off to the right.

Interesting fact:  
"TMS" sculptures, specifically from the 2005-2006 Vitruvian Collection (such as the "Hand Shake", "Silence Gesture" or "Blowing A Kiss" pieces), are now vintage, collectible resin/plaster art pieces originally produced in California, U.S.A.., but more recently outsourced to China.  According to product listings and art dealers, although these sculptures were inspired by the surrealist style of Salvador Dali (last image), he did NOT actually create them.renowned British contemporary mixed-media artist known for fusing street art, graffiti, and traditional Japanese aesthetics.  

Condition:  Used, but never abused.  There is an imperceptible hairline fracture between the chin and finger.  That said, there are NO (other) chips, cracks, crevices, scratches, scuffs, stains, repairs or any other cosmetic or structural issues.  The original white retail label remains attached certifying "Item No H250-Wht ~ 6 74199 01130 9 (UPC)" and the adjacent gold oval "Made in China" sticker.  "© TMS" is embossed on the side of the cubic base.
