Scan Tool Required -- Compatible FKE systems require programming via a computer 'scan' tool in order to add a new transmitter.  Your vehicle and all of the remotes to be used with it must be taken to an authorized dealer or a well-equipped mechanic or locksmith for programming.  If the replacement part has an anti-theft transponder, that may also require programming.  Service providers generally charge for this service.
