The Sears, Roebuck & Co. long-bed wood lathe, model 149.23860, was first created in 1935. This one has been kept indoors all its life but hasn't been used for quite a while. When my 90-year-old woodworking friend moved to his current location, the drive motor was misplaced for some reason and was never found. So, the lathe sat in a corner of his shop.• Overall length is just short of 50" and 7-1/4" wide at the base• The unit weighs approximately 25 lbs.• All mechanical parts move freely, the bedway bars are straight and all locking nuts move freely.• The drive pullies within the headstock move freely as well. The lathe will be partially disassembled for ease of shipping.
