Traveling Man Treasures is selling this exquisite Pre-Columbian Olmec jade maskette pendant, most likely in the form of a "werejaguar", which was both an Olmec motif and a supernatural entity, perhaps even a deity. This unusually rare handcrafted artifact is in excellent display condition.

The piece is carved with stylized facial features including a prominent nose, bulging lips down turned into a scowl, narrow-slit eyes, a furrowed brow, and elongated earpieces; reflecting the specialized aesthetic of the ancient Olmec civilization. The maskette/pendant is pierced on both sides for suspension as a pendant or other decorative ornamentation.
