Grading is always going to be affected by personal/owner's bias. I follow Overstreet/CGC guidelines for grading. While the photos are helpful to detect major flaws, creases, etc., photos are very hard to accurately capture without hours of holding the comic at different angles. I'm a professional photographer, I know. I try to be fair with my grading, taking all factors inside and out of the book.
