Salmo Slider Wobbler: This lure is a true virtuoso in a large family of lures, all designed for large predators. Left and right: the curvaceous dance of the slider that leads predators to crimes of passion! Foaming water and smoking reel brakes await you at any time now.
Take a deep breath and prepare for a lot of action!
With a slight downward pull of the rod, the slider comes to life as if with a sudden flash of lightning and slides away from the angler at an almost 90° angle. Another pull leads to a sudden change in the opposite direction, which is simply irresistible for Pike , Perch and musky.
Typically, the slider is fished with a regular series of rod strokes as you retrieve it quickly. The strokes of the rod should be very energetic and fast. Before fishing properly, you should always make a few casts and practice retrieving in clear water to observe the slider's behavior and get the timing right. Once you've mastered this, the slider will turn sharply from side to side. Do not allow the cord to sag after each jerk.
The slider works so well that many different types of retrieves work in different conditions. Whatever style you choose and find effective, you should focus on maintaining that style. So you must always be aware of your slider's behavior. The type of running pattern you choose is very important. In very low water temperatures (2° - 5°C), best results are achieved by fishing slowly with pauses of up to 3 seconds between light jerks. At higher water temperatures, the retrieval speed should be increased. The slider is surprisingly good for shallow trolling. Run it between 10 and 30 m behind the boat and pull it every few seconds like spin fishing.
