Vinyl Record & Cover Grading Guide

Our grading opinions are our own and should be taken as a general guide only. Individual assessment may differ slightly from ours, but we aim to describe all items honestly and accurately. If you’re not happy with your purchase, returns are always free — no questions asked.

We use a detailed grading system to describe the condition of both vinyl records and their covers. Here's what each grade means:

• Mint (M): Perfect and unplayed. Vinyl and sleeve are flawless.
• Near Mint (NM): Looks almost new. Played once or twice with no noticeable wear. Sleeve shows minimal handling or storage wear.
• Excellent (EX): A high-quality copy with minimal signs of use. Vinyl may have a faint mark or two. Sleeve may show very light edge wear or slight creasing.
• Very Good Plus (VG+): Light wear or a few faint surface marks. Plays well with minimal noise. Sleeve may have mild ring wear, small corner dings, or light discoloration.
• Very Good (VG): Noticeable wear or surface noise, but still enjoyable to listen to. Sleeve shows moderate wear, seam splits, or small writing/labels.
• Good / Good Plus (G / G+): Plays through, but with surface noise, scratches, or skips. Sleeve is worn, possibly with seam splits, fading, or tears.
• Fair / Poor (F / P): Damaged, cracked, or warped vinyl. Likely unplayable. Sleeve may be heavily damaged, missing, or only suitable for artwork or parts.
• Generic Sleeve: Comes in a plain or replacement sleeve, not the original artwork.

Condition Guarantee

• Discs (CDs, DVDs, and Games) are clean and free from significant scratches or defects
• Cases are intact and in good condition unless otherwise noted
• Books and comics are checked for major wear, damage, or missing pages
• All electronics are tested and confirmed fully operational unless stated
• Manuals and inserts are included only if shown in photos or listed in the description
• Due to time constraints, most cassette tapes are only visually inspected. However, returns are free if you encounter any problems.
