A group of eleven Mauritius Queen Elizabeth II pictorial definitive stamps from the 1978 historical event series, showing multicoloured scenes from the island’s history with values ranging from cents to rupee high values. Subjects include Dutch occupation, Fort Louis, Indian immigration, Champ de Mars, royal visit commemoration, Royal College Curepipe, and the unfurling of the Mauritian flag. Presented as separate perforated singles, the stamps are mostly well centred with generally complete perforations and bright multicoloured designs. Light postal usage marks are visible on several values, and the back views show no clear original gum with some hinge or album traces, consistent with a used lightly hinged group.
