Beautiful pair of ginger jars. Made in England, Stoke on Trent. Empire porcelain company. Transfer ware.

Just over 7 inches tall.

Please see photos. There is damage. I like to photograph and describe things very carefully so that you know what you are buying. This is important to me.

As a pair on display they look beautiful. These have much more ‘hawthorn’ blossom imagery than other ginger jars I have seen and finding 2 with lids is special.

One of the lids has been broken and repaired. It’s a neat repair - I have not handled it too much but it looks to be secure and all parts present.

The other lid is fine and in great condition.

One jar has slight staining to the base and faintly on the side very near the bottom. This jar is sound and no cracks or chips. Signs of crazing as you would expect at this age (likely made before 1930)

The second jar has a very very faint hairline crack. I only noticed this when gently feeling inside it to check for imperfections. It is just visible if you look very very carefully for it. There is a slightly duller ’ting’ to this jar if you tap it.

These have been looking wonderful on my shelf, but it is time to pass them on.

I am keen to sell them so happy to take offers. I will wrap them incredibly carefully for their onward journey.

Please message me with any questions. I post Royal Mail tracked 48 on Monday / Tuesday and Saturday - or sooner if I can get to the post office on a work day.
