Description:
Up for sale is a classic Shimano Deore XT "Mega-9" groupset. This is a mix of the M750 and M751 series, which were the gold standard for performance and durability in the late 90s and early 2000s. Ideal for a high-end retro mountain bike build.
Included in the sale:
Crankset (FC-M751): 175mm arms, triple chainring setup.
Shifters (SL-M750): 3x9 Speed Rapidfire Plus with integrated gear indicators.
Rear Derailleur (RD-M750): 9-speed long cage.
Front Derailleur (FD-M751): 34.9mm Clamp-on.
Brake Set (BR-M750): Front & Rear XT V-Brake arms (Note: No brake levers included).
Bottom Bracket (BB-ES30): Octalink cartridge for 68mm shells.
Extras: Brand new pack of Lifeline Rim Brake Pad inserts included.
Condition & Maintenance: This is a used vintage groupset. It shows typical signs of wear, including heel rub on the crank arms and minor scratches on the derailleur bodies.
Brake Pivot Note: One V-brake arm is missing the plastic sticker covers on the pivots. This was necessary to allow for deep cleaning and lubrication as the pivot had previously seized. It has been fully freed up and now moves smoothly.
Visuals: Please study the high-resolution photos carefully to assess the aesthetic and mechanical condition for yourself. All parts were functioning when last installed.
Crank Image Note: A drop of water on the rear of the drive side crank looks like damage - it's not, and I've added a seperate picture to show this.
