Description:
A mint hinged Italian States Sardinia 10 Centesimi imperforate stamp of the Victor Emmanuel II embossed head issue, printed in pale brown. The stamp has four clear margins, close in places but with the frame clear on all sides, and presents well from the front with no visible postal cancellation. The reverse shows disturbed original gum with evidence of hinging and some age-related gum creasing or unevenness. Colour is somewhat dulled by age but the design, inscriptions, and denomination remain readily identifiable. A representative classic Sardinian issue with generally sound appearance for its period, though the reverse condition should be noted.
