Vintage Chinese battery-operated "Girl Riding Tricycle" toy, model ME 844. This piece features a girl in a patterned fabric shirt and blue pants pedaling a pink tin lithograph tricycle.

Tested and working. The girl pedals the tricycle while the toy emits a clicking/twangy sound. For the video I placed the toy on a block so that I could get a steady video of it working as it moves pretty fast. When on the ground the girl's legs move ip and down while pedaling.

The toy is in very clean condition. The tin lithography on the wheels and basket is bright. The battery compartment is free of corrosion.

Includes the original decorative box with English and French text ("Fille Porte Sur Tricycle"). The box is complete with some minor age-related wear to the corners.

Made in China, circa 1960s/70s.
