Verner Panton (1926-1998) was a leading Danish architect and designer of the 20th century. He is known for his innovative furniture and lighting designs, which used plastic and FRP materials, and featured vibrant colors and organic, curved lines that symbolized the "Space Age" of the 1960s and 1970s.
