Description: 

Please review the photos. You would agree this tea caddy is truly amazing. The lightning bugs (or fireflies) in an insect cage is beautifully depicted by Makie.  

This was made by a prominent Makie artist Shohaku YONEMOTO (米本匠伯 in Japanese). He was born in 1957 in Wajima, which is a mecca of Japanese lacquerware. There, he grew up and learned lacquerware works from grandmasters such as Teikichi MOKUDAI. He won many honorable awards at various exhibitions for Japanese lacquerware works (photo #18 & 19).

The tea caddy is in absolutely excellent condition. No chips or cracks at all. White (shining) parts on photographs are reflection of light, i.e., no flaw or blemish.
The natsume came with his simple resume as well as the original wooden and paper boxes. The boxes are also in excellent condition (photo #17).
