Pu-erh tea is the most oxidized form of tea, often aged, and sometimes very expensive. Unlike other teas, which get stale over time, pu-erh can mellow and improve with age like fine wine. A cake of pu-erh is in a constant state of change, and as you chip away leaves to drink over the months and years, no two brews will taste the same.
Ingredients: Pu-erh Black tea
Brewing: 1 cake of tea for 8oz of hot water. The ideal brewing temperature is 90-100ºC (194-215ºF), which is just below the boiling point.
Package includes 10 small cakes. Each tea cake will fall apart in hot water and become loose leaf. Best if brewed in teapot of french press to sift loose leaf out. One cake can make up to 2 cups of black tea.
