This is particularly important with this AMPEX tape. The spool has a very short lip and the tape is very large. Please see pics of it open. These type tapes have the possibility of partially slipping off the spool in shipping no matter how carful you pack them. If post office turns the package upside down and hits the package, that is a possibility. Please only buy with this in mind.
