This is a very unique find this is an original girls basketball rules book printed by the Iowa girls high school athletic Union for 1949-50. This 57-page book contains all of the rules for high school girls basketball. There's also some great advertisement pieces in there and several pictures of basketball teams from around the state. Some of the girls basketball teams who made the playoffs in 1949;  included are Manila, Onawa, Knoxville, Galva, Rockwell, Walker, Churdan, 1949 quarter finalist Slater, 1949 quarter finalist Packwood, 1949 quarter finalist Guthrie Center, 1949 quarter finalist carpentine Township Farson, 1949 4th place winner Hartley, 1949 third place winner Keswick, 1949 runner-up Oakland and 1949 state champions Wellsburg.
