This is a beautiful set of fifty-three Antique Chinese New Jade (Serpentine) Pendant Medallions, circa 1920-30. They are all hand carved with a stylized "Shou" character in an openwork design, which is symbolic of Longevity in Chinese culture. Eighteen pieces are translucent pale celadon green. Thirty one are translucent white jade and four are unique colors with no matches. These are all natural jade pieces. They have a variety of uses and can be easily added to crafts, home decor projects and jewelry. Each medallion is apx 1" around and weighs 2-4g, 168g total. They have a right and a wrong side and have never been used. They do not come boxed, but I used a box to display the side view. This is a lovely set to create memorable decor and jewelry that you'll treasure.
