The "wildest ride in the wilderness" opened on September 2, 1979. This Open Edition pin remembers the Opening of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. This pin features Mickey Mouse and Goofy taking a ride on this classic Disney attraction. The train and mountain are pins-on-pin. The locomotive slides up and down. The smoke is Free-D. Disney Design Group Artist Chris Chapman created the artwork for this pin.
