This listing is for a

Vintage 1987 ESP Japan M-1 Custom Guitar in Canary Yellow.

This is a cool and fun guitar.

Straight from the glory days, a vintage 1987 M-1 Custom.

Awesome finish, you could walk down a dark street with this thing in the middle of the night and people could still see you coming a mile away!

While it is a visually stunning guitar and highly collectable, this one is not in original condition. How much of it is non-original is probably a question that is impossible to answer.

-The Seymour Duncan pickup are definitely not original, but they sound awesome.

-The Floyd Rose is not original, as nice as it is, because it doesn't match the color of the rest of the hardware.

-The frets are scalloped from the 13th fret up. It's a perfect scallop job and even looks awesome but I would guess it is not original. However, ESP did one-offs for artists and customers who ordered them all the time back then. So it is possible.

-The tone knob as you can see has been bypassed, taken out and plugged.

Condition-wise, the guitar looks incredible with the notable exception of the ding along the bottom (pictured). Otherwise it's just plain excellent condition.

The neck is KILLER and it plays great. The scallop job really makes this guitar fun to play on the upper frets.

Comes with what is possible the original case, as ESP used a lot of cases just like this from back in the day.

So there you have it. An awesome vintage ESP M-1 Custom, just not one in original condition. But if you want to fit right into your local 80's cover band, this is the guitar for you:)
