Large lot of Reynolds Parfait yarn in a bright red shade, #1256. A 79% Orlon acrylic and 21% Nylon blend with a subtle boucle texture and a noticeable sparkle, a special feature of Parfait. Made in France for Reynolds yarns. I believe these date to the 1960s. Includes:
- four sweater sections - partial sleeves, front, & back
- five cakes of yarn with their labels still attached
- several balls in a range of sizes
All told, they weigh 651 grams, well over a pound. I also have a scrap of box label, though it didn't get photographed, and the dye lot matches the dye lot on all the labels. It does also say it contained 10 30g balls, so there's more than two boxes' worth here! They are definitely the same color but may not be from the same dye lot. Some of the balls do look slightly sparklier to me but it's hard to be sure. These came to me in an auction lot along with a great deal of other yarn, and the original owner tended to buy yarn by the box.
