MN upgrade metal axles with metal gears and ball bearings throughout. Includes screws for fitting.
When you start to get serious about getting the most performance out of your MN Model, these front and rear metal axles contain metal gears and ball bearings, ensuring that much more reliability out on the trail, as long as basic maintenance is carried out! (see below).
The added bonus of upgrading to metal axles and driveshafts is that they add weight low down, giving your model much better stability 👌
I have 4mm MN Driveshafts in the store and also 4 to 3mm adapter sleeves if you need to connect a 3mm pin shaft to a 4mm gear shaft.
If you are using the WPL 2 speed gearbox, you will need the 3mm adapter sleeves to allow the MN 4mm driveshaft hole to fit the WPL 3mm gearbox shaft.
These are a direct replacement for your stock plastic axles. Use them in conjunction with your standard driveshafts and leaf springs or add an MN axle truss (also available in the store) and go with metal shocks with a 4-link set-up.
So many options when you start to modify but axles, wheels and tyres (also available) are generally a good start for gaining more performance from your stock rig.

RCOCM insight:
Be sure to open up the axles on receipt of your order, add white lithium grease or a smear of marine grease around all the gears and a dab on each bearing to help keep dust and dirt out until the next point of maintenance.
Regular maintenance is highly recommended to prolong the life of your gears and bearing. If you are using through mud and water, clean after your trail with warm water and washing up liquid, dry thoroughly (a hairdryer really helps), then give all exposed moving metal parts and bearings a splash of WD40. This paired with the occasional strip-down, clean, re-grease and re-build will ensure these gears and bearings last for so much longer than with no maintenance at all.
