My son, daughter-in- law and their children operate a charity called The Gift of Soccer Foundation. A write up of their efforts follows and look it up. You will be impressed.

They have been very successful in assisting the generous contributors who donate and ship gear to their efforts.

With the great donation of goods response, the need now is to cover the overhead for shipping and packing to the worldwide distributions requested.

Using my small eBay store, we are testing if the sale of some of the items can serve to cover the distribution cost.

The Gift of Soccer Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering underprivileged youth worldwide through soccer by collecting and redistributing gently used soccer gear.

Mission and Impact

Founded in 2010 by Ken Levandoski and Margie Espe, The Gift of Soccer Foundation aims to bridge the gap between surplus soccer equipment and the needs of underserved communities. The foundation collects, repurposes, and distributes gently used soccer gear, providing children with the opportunity to play, learn, and grow through the sport. To date, they have sent over 64,500 pieces of soccer gear to 25 different countries across six continents, positively impacting countless lives. 

Activities

• Gear Collection: The foundation collects used soccer equipment, including cleats, jerseys, balls, and shin guards, from generous donors across the country. This equipment is then cleaned, repackaged, and distributed to children in need. 
• Community Engagement: By partnering with humanitarian organizations, The Gift of Soccer Foundation fosters community trust and inclusion, helping to build stronger bonds and support systems for children. 
• Volunteering Opportunities: The foundation encourages community involvement through volunteer opportunities, allowing individuals to help collect, sort, and distribute soccer gear. 

Founders' Vision

The foundation was born out of a desire to reduce waste and provide access to soccer for children who might not otherwise have the opportunity. The founders observed the significant amount of usable gear discarded each season and recognized the need for a solution. Their vision is to ensure that every child, regardless of their background, can experience the joy and benefits of playing soccer.

The Gift of Soccer Foundation believes in the power of sport to create positive change, and through their work, they aim to inspire and uplift communities worldwide by providing equal opportunities for youth to engage in soccer. 

We are working to rehome things we have acquired over many years since completing high school and college in NJ and over lots of travel in the US and internationally that have brought us to our home in New Mexico. During all this we have acquired many unique and interesting articles. While these contain many memories for us, we have reached a point where we cannot keep them part of our daily lives so we have decided to work to find them homes where they can continue to provide some happiness. 

Not everything we offer is ours. We have found that many of our neighbors, friends, and acquaintances, particularly those “technology challenged”, and have the same need as we to downsize. We also offer local finds from our local activities.

We provide economy shipping, and no insurance as offered. Shipping to PO boxes is sometimes not compatible with economy shipping and we may ask to be able to ship to an address to meet my offered price.

We will ship globally. Items are listed under the eBay Global shipping program. Will quote and ship USPS first class globally if asked. Generally, less expensive. If this is chosen items are only insured for itself, not the shipping cost. We Guarantee and track to US customs location only. Past that point risk of delivery are the buyers excepting damage due to packing. Other shipping with tracking can be quoted and provided on request.
