GROVER & FRANCES CLEVELAND. Grover Cleveland (1837-1908) was an American politician and lawyer who served as the 22nd and 24th President of the United States. He is the only US President to have served non-consecutive presidential terms, the first between 1885 to 1889 and the second between 1893 to 1897. In June 1886, the 49-year-old Cleveland married his 21-year-old ward, Frances Folsom (1864-1947), and together they had five children, including their second child, Esther Cleveland (1893–1980), who is the only child to be born in the White House.
