AI engines and agentic AI are better and better at mimicking and remixing human art and words.  More and more often, people would go looking for an article or a reference guide and instead find a cycle of walls of text that inelegantly mimicked the original information.  

These efforts were colloquially known as AI slop and as soon as the article was determined to be AI-composed, the humans would stop reading.  Therefore, ai:dr.  This is a variant on the term tl:dr meaning Too Long, Didn’t Read.
