Have owned this car for around 2 and a half years. For the first year and a half, it was used daily to get me to and from work locally, but since February 2025, the car hasn't been used.
It passed it's last mot in October 2024, with an advisory on the exhaust (gasses leaking), and I've only driven it around 20 miles since then. MOT did expire in October 2025, and I just haven't had the time to sort it out.
The car itself is very clean. It has the original alloys which aren't in perfect condition, but for 26 year old wheels, aren't in bad condition at all.
The body is in great condition. A minor dent above the rear wheel arch has damaged the paint ever so slightly, but this has since been treated to prevent any rust and can easily be repaired. A very minor chip on the bonnet has also been treated and could be repaired easily.
Paintwork itself is in exceptional condition for it's age.
The roof has been replaced with a new hood in late 2024. However, I was unable to obtain the rear tension cables. This isn't an issue really. I was going to have some fabricated and fitted, but never got round to it. This can be sorted for a couple of quid I'm sure. The electric hood switch and motor does work, but the roof doesn't retract. This could be something as simple as needing some hydraulic fluid.
Mechanically, the car runs sound when it starts. I was having issues to actually get it to start after it passed it's last MOT. I had a new starter motor fitted, but was told it would need a new ignition distributor. I have purchased one, and will be included with the car. However, it will need fitting. Once this is fitted, it should start up and run fine.
Car also has a new battery, distributor cap, spark plugs and leads.
A new timing belt and tensioners were also fitted in 2023. Have only driven it a few hundred miles since.
The interior of the car is clean. It has had a new speedometer fitted before I bought it.
The mileage is shown as around 35000, but after going through the MOT certificates, the actual mileage is around 85000. An aftermarket bluetooth stereo has been fitted.
All in all, it's a really clean example of a 26 year old car. The last time I drove it, it did start and drive fine with the help of a booster pack, but will require the Ignition Distributor to be fitted to start on it's own. I don't want to part with this car, but I have nowhere to keep it where I live, and it's currently parked at my mother's house (and she's not too happy about it!), which is why I need to sell it.
Car is currently based in Freckleton (PR4). It should start up with the help of a booster pack, or maybe a jump, but this isn't guaranteed, and may need to be loaded onto a recovery truck.
Private reg (J28 BPM) is also included to add to the retro look.
Has pretty much all history and previous MOT certificates. Includes 1 key, and 2 fobs for the remote central locking.
