Condition : NEW [Collector's Point] Following the 1976 compilation album "Rock 'n' Roll Music," "Love Songs" was released the following year, and like its predecessor, it was planned jointly by Japan and the US. Rather than simply reusing the original stereo mixes, new remixes were used specifically for this album. As with the previous album, there's no specific mention of George Martin's involvement in all the tracks, but he chose to dislike the original 1960s stereo mixes and instead used new remixes. For some reason, the UK release has swapped stereo channels, and while several tracks on "Rubber Soul" are known to have narrow mixes leaning toward the center, the pseudo-stereo recordings remain the same. However, the US and UK versions feature different mixes of "This Boy" and "Yes It Is," as well as a different mix of "The Long and Winding Road" on the US version. Many other tracks also feature different stereo separations between the US and UK versions, making this a treasure trove of intriguing mix variations. CD 1 includes the remixed version of the US Capitol release. CD 2 contains remixes of the British Parlophone recordings. Each has been newly digitally converted from the original analog recordings, and has been newly restored and remastered with meticulous noise reduction and correction.
