The Fallen Angel: Mephistopheles is presented as a fallen angel who is a servant of Lucifer, not Satan himself.
Tormented Demon: He embodies tragic grandeur and despair, frequently lamenting his loss of heaven, and even warns Faustus against making the deal. When asked where he is, he famously replies, "Why this is hell, nor am I out of it."
The Deal: He is the demon summoned by the ambitious scholar Faustus and acts as the intermediary to finalize the pact with Lucifer, granting Faustus twenty-four years of service and magic power in exchange for his soul.
Karl Tutter (1883–1969) was a German sculptor and one of the most prominent porcelain modelers of the 20th century
Karl Tutter's design are known for their intricate detail and sense of fluid movement.
Tutter began his long collaboration with the Hutschenreuther porcelain factory in 1922 and was highly influential in the success of its art department.
He is known for his elegant and detailed Art Nouveau and Art Deco designs, which often depict figures in dynamic, emotional poses
