This elegant pair of French Antique Empire Style bronze double wall lights embodies the refined grandeur and symmetry characteristic of the early 19th-century Empire style.
Crafted in richly patinated bronze, each sconce features a beautifully detailed backplate crowned with a classic plume motif, an iconic element of the Empire Era. From the backplate extend two gracefully scrolled arms, each adorned with acanthus leaf accents. The arms culminate in round candle drip holders fitted with delicate cut glass bobeches, designed to catch and reflect light with subtle brilliance. The cream candle sleeves show age-related marks, adding authentic character and a desirable patina that speaks to the pieces’ history.

The lights have twin core braided wiring and each sconce takes 2 small screw in bulbs E14s. US and Canadian buyers are able to find adapters to use these wall lights with their E12 bulbs (without the need to change the bulb holders). Please search on line 'E14 to E12' adapter.
Condition: Good vintage condition with surface wear and deep aged patina to the bronze. The candle drips show age-related wear and marks at the tops and some discoloration. Crystals are assorted sizes and in good vintage condition. There is a hanging bar on the back of each sconce to fix the sconce to the wall after wiring. Wall fittings not included.
