Appears to have never been used.  I inserted the 3 batteries that are included and the laser pointer worked fine.  Although, the ink has dried up so you will have to replace the ink cartridge.  There are stickers on the side that will peal off.  The cardboard box shows light wear.  Pretty classy looking pen / laser pointer.
