You have here a very, very colorful material.  I hand cut, cabbed and polished this material.  The piece is whole and fracture free. The back is flat.  This is one of the loveliest pieces of dinosaur bone I have cut.  The colors are vivid and the cell structure is well defined.

(You do realize there is no new dinosaur bone being made :)
