This is a beautiful Mid 20th Century, Arts & Crafts writing desk that exudes a rustic character in the home living room or bedroom setting.
Circa 1950's .
The desk is constructed from high quality Oak that displays a warm, country patination.
The top of the desk is adorned with a gorgeous carved symetrical design.
Featuring a wonderful drop front writing desk, with a metal drop handle. The front cannot be locked.
The fall front is finished with two charming metal decorative hinges.
The desk interior is ideal for organization as it has a number of pigeon hole compartments, which you can use to store your writing materials or documents. The interior also has a sweet carved pen and ink holder.
The desk has two magnets to the drop front that prevent the lid from falling when not in use.
To the front of the writing desk is a lower shelf, useful for storing books.
This useful writing desk would make for a gorgeous addition to a country or farmhouse lounge, office or bedroom setting.
Overall this writing desk is in good condition, with signs of use and wear, as to be expected from years of history (see photographs).
There is a historical crack to the desk top (see photograph).
The front right foot shows damage, but it is still fully functional (see photograph).
