RARE Vintage Royal Doulton IRENE HN1621 Figurine

Lovely condition - no chips.

Fully marked on base including ''Potted by Doulton and Co'' which indicates pre‑1939 production, which many collectors prefer.

Pls note on the base only, there is a very faint hairline crack which is virtually invisible and obviously not visible when the figurine is upright. Mentioning for the sake of good order but the figurine itself has no cracks.

Please see photos which form part of description and for confirmation of condition.

Happy to send more pics if helpful.

Any questions pls just message me.

Name: Irene

Pattern/figure number: HN1621

Maker: Royal Doulton, England

Designer: Leslie Harradine (a leading Royal Doulton modeller)

Series: Pretty Ladies / Harradine Classics

Note : There is a small piece of ceramic INSIDE the figurine which rattles around if you shake it. Royal Doulton figurines are hollow slip‑cast pieces, and small internal shards often break off from thin joins or glaze “icicles” during firing. This can leave a hard bit rattling around inside that is too big to fall out of the casting hole, especially in older or more delicate models. Collectors and restorers report this fairly often across many makes of hollow figurines, so it’s considered a common minor manufacturing quirk rather than a rare defect, and it usually has no impact on value unless there is visible damage on the outside (which there isnt).

Thanks for looking :)
