** This was an Estate sell find. The woman had a whole sewing room,

where she made vests like this and other things. You will see there is a pile of stitching that looks like a mess up. There are buttons on one side. But no slits on the other side, I don’t know if this was on purpose or not finished. I bought other vests and they have brooches and other bling on them. So, I think she did this on purpose. Remember this is handmade light not be perfect but looks great!

Measurements:

Chest: Lying flat, from armpit to armpit, it measures 21” across. So, this is most likely a size Xl but might fit as a XXL. I’m a 3x so I can’t tell.

Length: from the top to the longest piece was 22.5” down.

Sleeve: It is sleeveless but the armholes are long.

This is patchwork vest is a handmade, upcycled garment crafted from vintage men's neckties. It is an example of sustainable "wearable art" that repurposes various silk, polyester, or cotton ties into a new, functional piece of clothing.

Material & Construction

* Fabric: The vest is made by carefully taking apart individual neckties to preserve the silk or patterned fabric. These pieces are then coordinated by color—in this case, shades of green, gold, and cream—and sewn together using a patchwork or "crazy quilt" technique.

* Design Details: It features distinct geometric, paisley, and striped patterns from the ties.
