Hub Unit Installation Guide

Step 1: Safety & Disassembly

Engage parking brake and securely support vehicle with jack stands
Remove wheel, unbolt brake caliper (hang it up with wire, don't stretch the hose), and remove brake rotor
Remove axle nut and use a puller to remove the old hub unit

Step 2: Cleaning & Preparation

Thoroughly clean the hub mounting surface on the steering knuckle, ensure it's free of rust and debris
Inspect the new hub unit, avoid touching the magnetic ABS sensor ring with bare hands

Step 3: Installation & Tightening

Position the new hub unit straight into place
Use a proper tool (e.g., press or socket) to press/guide it evenly into position
You must use a torque wrench to tighten all mounting bolts and the new axle nut to the specified torque

Step 4: Reassembly & Inspection

Reinstall the brake rotor, caliper, and wheel
Lower the vehicle, then lift the wheel off the ground with the car's jack to check for smooth rotation
Perform a test drive to ensure no abnormal noise and the ABS warning light is off

Critical Warnings

Mounting surface must be perfectly clean, no rust or dirt
Never strike the new hub unit directly with a hammer! This will instantly damage the bearing and ABS function
Always use a new axle nut! A used nut can loosen and cause a serious failure
Do not touch the magnetic ABS ring
