These red 5mm cube LEDs run directly on 12V without any external resistor — built-in current limiting means you connect them straight to your vehicle, boat, or model power supply and they work.
Each LED operates across a wide 5–15V DC range at 20mA, with a 620–630nm red wavelength, 5mm body, 22.5-degree focused viewing angle, and a milky white frosted lens that diffuses the light evenly rather than producing a harsh hotspot. Brightness runs 8,000–10,000 mcd — vivid red output visible in daylight.
Common applications
The focused beam and true red wavelength make these especially well-suited for night-vision-safe lighting, indicator lights, and accent work where red is functional rather than just cosmetic:

Wiring & power notes
DC power recommended: LEDs are designed for DC. Running on AC will cause flickering and reduce lifespan. If using a low-voltage AC source (model railroad transformer, DCC track voltage), convert it to DC with a MB1S bridge rectifier plus a 100µF 50V electrolytic capacitor for clean, ripple-free output.
