An antique Chinese ceramic storage jar with 4 lugs. Celadon green glaze. Made in the Shanglin kilns of Zhejiang, China during the Tang or Five Dynasties period. ~1000 years old.
Condition:
- A hole to the side has been patched up with grout (restoration)
- Chips to the rim
- Glaze gaps, glaze crackles
- Adhered kiln grit to the base
- Cavity to the side caused by air pocket in the paste
- Encrusted patches of dirt from prolonged use or burial
- General wear, staining and scratches from age and use
Measures about 23cm tall, 17cm wide.
