Established in 1989, Tavistock Books has recently moved from its former long-time Alameda CA location to Reno NV.

We are a general antiquarian business, with material ranging from Aviation to Zoology, from the 16th C to the 21st. We have specialties in Dickens, History of Nursing, Children's Serial Fiction & Western Americana.

Visits may be arranged by appointment, generally 10 am to 3 pm, Pacific Time.

Guarantee

We guarantee everything we sell and any item may be returned for any reason within 30 days of receipt.

If the return is due to an error on our part, we will reimburse you the cost of your return. Please do exercise the same care in packaging, as we do in shipping all items purchased from us.

We are members of the Antiquarian Booksellers' Association of America (ABAA), and the International Online Booksellers Association (IOBA).

Shipping

We are happy to ship to buyers outside of the United States. Please contact us for an exact shipping quote.

All books shipped to US destinations are usually sent US Post Office Media Mail, with despatch usually within 72 hours of payment receipt. Delivery typically takes a week, but may be longer, especially during the holidays. Faster shipping is available, please contact us for a price quote.

We will combine shipping on items purchased at the same time.
