This charming antique bisque doll comes dressed in undergarments and an exquisite Victorian style orange and black lace dress with matching black lace head covering. More than likely she is German* made. 17" tall.

Here is the full breakdown of what I know about this doll (I am not a doll expert, but I did hours and hours of research on this doll so everything you read below is to the best of my knowledge and the doll is sold AS-IS based on photos. I strive to be transparent will all photos and descriptions!)

*I believe she is GERMAN. She is unmarked, but based on all of my research this is not uncommon among early bisque dolls, especially Kestner. I can't guarantee that she is German, so please purchase accordingly based on your own knowledge.
It is likely she is either a Kestner or Armand Marseille based on all of my research on dolls with similar features and body type, but again, this is just to the best of my knowledge. I am not guaranteeing that she is made by any specific doll maker.
She has a bisque head/neck piece (the top of her head does not come off) and hand/forearms and also bisque.-see photos
She has a jointed kid leather body that is in good condition for age. - see photos
She has sleepy eyes and they function as they should. - see photos
She has an open mouth with square teeth. - see photos
She has painted eyelashes and eyebrows and highlighted nostrils and inner eyes. - see photos
The black head covering does not come off and I believe her hair is mohair. - see photos. Her hair is a bit matted and does not comb out easily without pulling the hair out. Her hair comes out easily if pulled on. Sold AS-IS based on photos.
Her bisque neck is cracked. It looks like it has been glued. - see photos.
At some point her upper body was taped to the bisque head. I have not tried to removed the tape, but I do not feel any compromised to the integrity of her body. I handled her to undress, take photos, and redress with no issues. - sold AS-IS based on photos.
Her dress appears to be handmade. I included a photo of the inside of her dress to show stitching. - see photos
Her undergarments show signs of age with typical discoloring and light staining and are pinned with a straight pin at the waste. - see photos
Her shoes are in good condition and only show minor wear. - see photos
I can see the wire shoulder attachments, but they do not seem to be loose or compromised. I undressed, photographed and redressed her without any issues. She comes AS-IS based on photos.

Overall, this really is a lovely doll with a charming face and unique orange dress. The dress looks and feels like silk, but I cannot verify for sure.

For shipping, she will arrive wrapped in a base layer of doubled tissue paper followed by a double layer of small bubble wrap, followed by more layers of large bubble wrap and paper. She will arrive in a REPURPOSED BOX that was originally used to ship flowers, but fits her nicely for shipping.
