Original Westinghouse railroad air brake test gauge manufactured by Ashcroft Manufacturing Company of New York. Marked “Westinghouse – Wilmerding, PA,” this heavy brass gauge was used for testing railroad air brake systems, including auxiliary reservoirs and brake pipe pressure.
The gauge features a large, easy-to-read dial with a 160 PSI scale, original glass lens, and solid brass case with multiple rear ports. An excellent example of early-to-mid 20th century railroad instrumentation.

Unrestored, as found condition with original patina. Dial remains clear and legible. Glass intact with light age-related haze. Rear felt backing shows wear from age. Operational status is unknown and the gauge has not been pressure tested.
A fantastic piece of railroadiana—ideal for collectors, industrial décor, railroad displays, or restoration reference.
