Here are two examples of fine Shaker style craftsmanship - a limited edition Shaker basket candy tray and a cherry lidded cap basket by well known NH basket maker Martha Wetherbee. Wetherbee started researching Shaker baskets at Canterbury Shaker Village in 1977. She has made Shaker baskets at her shop in Sanbornton since 1981 and is credited with rediscovering the Shaker method of basket making. The candy tray basket is hand signed on base MW, 91, 99/300, with a certificate of authenticity, and the cherry lidded cap basket is monogrammed MW, 18/30, 1994, along with a handwritten tag by Martha with the edition number. Each basket is in very good overall condition, with minimal imperfections. Includes copies of original sales receipts and promotional material about Martha Wetherbee. Dimensions: Candy Tray: Approximately 4” H x 6 1/4” diameter; Cherry Lidded Cap Basket: 2 3/4” H x 3 1/2” Diameter. Please see our other Martha Wetherbee Shaker baskets posted. Ref: 14694
