An exceptional 19th century Italian micro mosaic round center table featuring architectural scenes from Rome including a central scene of Saint Peter’s Basilica with a brick red marble band, surrounded by smaller oval scenes of the Colosseum, The Forum, The Pantheon, and the Temple of Hercules, Arch of Titus, and others, all inlaid in a black marble top, with a brick red marble outer band, with molded wooden edge surround, surmounting an ornately carved ebonized base with nice scroll work. Very good overall condition, with some surface imperfections in the top marble, minor losses, and expected wear in the wooden base.
