Offered for sale is one early Soviet billiard ball, dating from the early stage of Soviet billiard production. Due to its material characteristics, dimensions, and degree of aging, this piece can be considered very old and potentially of antique origin.

The ball has developed a yellow-brown coloration over time, a typical visual trait of early phenol-formaldehyde plastics (Neoleycorite, Bakelite family) after decades of natural aging.

Condition

This ball shows extensive, honest signs of age and long-term use, including:

• pronounced patina
• surface dirt and discoloration
• numerous scratches
• visible cracks
• chips, dents, and impact cavities

Material & Authenticity

Early Soviet billiard balls were manufactured from Neoleycorite, a phenol-formaldehyde resin belonging to the Bakelite family.
