Thrifting find. Vintage, circa 1980s Scott McClintock ivory color tea-length lace overlay dress, marked Size 8. Made in USA. Scott McClintock was the son and business partner of Gunne Sax designer Jessica McClintock, and dresses with his label were first produced in the early 1980s. Romantic and feminine style with sheer lace long sleeves, dropped waist, and fluttery handkerchief hem that falls to lower calf - model is 5'6" and it was about ankle length on her. Fully lined, except for the sheer sleeves, in polyester satin. Well constructed with finished inside seams and shoulder pads. YKK metal zipper has a bit of color loss to the off-white paint. It is about 17.5" long and works as it should. I could find no issues with this dress; no stains, tears, snags, or unpleasant odors. I wonder if it had ever been worn. Please note that vintage sizing tends to run smaller than modern day - measurements are shown in the photos. Model wears a size 2 to 4 in dresses and this one was only slightly too large for her. Please take a look at the photos, and let me know if you have any questions. Shipped in a cardboard box via USPS Ground Advantage.
