ORIGINAL THOMAS J DRUMMEY 'SANDY NECK CAPE COD' OIL PAINTING EXHIBITED AT THE COPLEY SOCIETY OF BOSTON SMALL PAINTINGS EXHIBITION

This is a wonderful original. I have had one other painting by Thomas J Drummey a few years ago and when I got that one, I was surprised I could not find a complete biography on the artist. And now that I got this one, I still cant find one.  I have found one other painting that sold by the artist that shows that he was a member of the North Shore Arts Association in Massachusetts and this painting has a label on it from the Copley Society of Boston for an exhibition and a show so we know that he was a very active and professional artist.  This is a really wonderful painting.  A great scene of one of the beach cottages on Sandy Neck in Barnstable Cape Cod.  A great view out to the water and back to the homes on the mainland.  I really love the way the artist even put the owner's laundry out on the line.  Oil on board measuring 14 x 18 inches. Signed lower right.  Painting is in excellent condition with a very minor layer of surface grime.  A few very faint spots in the sky as well but really just a stunning original mid century Cape Cod painting.  Original white painted liner and original period frame.  On the back of the painting is the original label from the Copley Society of Boston Small Paintings exhibition.  Just a great complete package.  Frame measures 18 3/4 x 22 3/4 inches.  FREE SHIPPING ANYWHERE IN THE UNITED STATES!
