Royal Doulton THE CARDINAL white Miniature Character Jug with "A" mark. Pre-owned

This piece is very rare, I personally don't  have a real explanation about this color. Some collectors  said that can be either due to war time production, which prohibited the use of decoration or because it may have some damage or a flaw when being produced.
