Our proprietary "convergence compensation mechanism" adjusts the objective lens in conjunction with the focus position to correct the misalignment that occurs when viewing close objects. This reduces eye strain and allows for comfortable observation, even at close range. Furthermore, the objective lens returns to its normal position at longer distances, making these binoculars ideal for general use, such as bird watching, hiking, watching sports, and concerts.
The first Papilio series model to feature a weather-resistant construction
This is the first Papilio series model to feature a weather-resistant construction that prevents water from entering the lens, improving reliability in rainy, foggy, and splash-prone environments.
The eyepiece and front flat glass surface are also coated with a dirt-resistant coating to prevent dirt from adhering.
High Optical Performance
All lenses are fully multi-coated to prevent unwanted light reflection, ensuring excellent imaging performance.
In addition, the use of aspherical lenses and high-refractive-index glass prisms (BaK4) ensures clear images with minimal distortion throughout the entire field of view.
High-performance "HD Coating" for even greater visibility
The latest high-performance multi-coating, "HD Coating" Note 1, is now used on some of the full multi-coating. Compared to conventional multi-coatings, it has lower reflection and higher transmittance, allowing for high-contrast, clear images even in challenging shooting conditions such as backlight.
Note 1: "HD" stands for High Definition.
Long Eye Relief Design
The 15mm long eye relief design makes the entire field of view easy to see, even when wearing glasses.
Easy-to-Hold Rubber Exterior
The exterior is made of rubber, which is easy to grip and highly impact-resistant.

(1) A unique two-axis interlocking interpupillary distance adjustment mechanism that allows for smooth, easy adjustment of the interpupillary distance.
(2) A rotating, sliding eyecup ring that can be used or stored with one touch.
(3) A click-type diopter adjustment mechanism that prevents accidental movement during use.
(4) A quick-release neck strap that is easy to attach and detach.
(5) Attaches to a tripod using the separately sold "Tripod Adapter U" accessory (currently available).
