THE DIMENSIONS OF THE ARMS OPENED ARE 18 1/2 INCHES FOR EACH OF THE "X" ARMS AND 12 INCHES FOR THE RODS. THE USUAL PRODUCTIONS ARE PAINTED FLAT BLACK (SOME WERE CAD PLATED &/or THE RARE COPPER CLOSURES). THERE ARE JUST A FEW OF THESE BLACK ANODIZED ORIGINALS AVAILABLE THEN NO MORE!! THEY WILL COME WITH ORIGINAL #3 MOUNTING EYELETS IF REQUESTED. SEE OUR OTHER ADS FOR ALL THE OTHER TYPES OF CLOSURE MECHANISMS AVAILABLE. The closure mechanism facilitates the smooth opening and closing of
the doors on these stack sectional barrister lawyer bookcases. Without
these the doors frequently bind and can damage the tracks. If this occurs
repeatedly over time it can require a great deal of work to repair.
