You are viewing a very nice collectible bank from Windfield Designs. This is a replica of a US Post Office, circa 1920, that was built in many towns in the area. Made of brick, with slate roofs and cupolas or clock towers; it’s a memory in many of our lives. Measurements are 5.5" L x 3.75" W x 5.5" H.  It is part of the 1st run, #84, hand dated 7/24/1993.

Windfield Designs, Inc. of Glens Falls, NY, made wooden, silk-screened reproductions of 18th and 19th century buildings, usually for use as coin banks. Windfield began in 1981 as a project of Henry "Hank" Musser, Art Professor & Department Chair at Adirondack Community College, now SUNY Adirondack. With the help of Larry Attanasio, Musser set up Windfield Designs to make and sell these banks full time. This collection contains replicas of historic buildings in Glens Falls and surrounding area. While the company shut down in 1996, the phrase "Windfield Design" is now used to describe a certain folk art style of coin bank.

If you are a fan of Americana, collect banks or have a connection to the Glens Falls/Lake George region, this might be a nice addition to your collection. The bank is in very good pre-owned condition. Please view all photos for details and condition. Thanks for looking. Ships USPS Ground Advantage Service. I ship the next business day after payment is received.
